Palliative & End of Life Special Interest Group

Our group aims to provide a resource and opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals with a shared interest in provision of palliative and end of life care for teenagers and young adults with cancer.

We aim to do this by:

  • Providing accessible information and resources online, and role model innovative ways of working
  • Setting up task and finish groups to deliver on shared objectives
  • Developing best practice guidance in partnership with the TYAC Service Development Group
  • Shaping palliative and end of life care education in collaboration with the TYAC Professional Education Group
  • Establishing a forum for sharing local practice through case study and project presentation, and review of published materials

Our group has a broad range of members and we actively welcome clinicians from across the medical, nursing, social care and allied health professional sectors. Quarterly meetings will enable updates from the task and finish groups, and the sharing best practice and national guidance. If you are interested in presenting a case study, project or published materials for peer reflection in our regular forum please complete this Presentation Proposal form and submit to the group chairs.
