For the first time, we will be working in partnership with BRIGHTLIGHT to present an exciting conference over 2 days, on the 6th and 7th of July at the Horizon Conference Centre in Leeds. The conference will feature excellent speakers discussing many elements and challenges of delivering evidence-based practice in today’s NHS.

The highlight of this year’s conference will be the presentation of the results from the BRIGHTLIGHT study; many of you will have been involved with this and will have recruited young people to this study. Along with presentations on recruiting young people into research, involving young people in research, unmet needs of carers and costs of specialist care, we will hear the findings of the study that asked the key question: Do specialist cancer services

for Teenagers and Young Adults add value?

Conference Dinner: networking opportunity – Thursday 6th July, 7.30pm

We have arranged for the Conference group (including invited speakers) to have dinner in an Italian restaurant very close to the Conference venue (Horizon) and Conference Hotel (Jurys).  It is just around the corner – a short walk from these.  This will be a key opportunity to relax and dine with colleagues, in a really convenient location.

The ticket price is £30 per person and this includes:

3 course dinner

Drink on arrival and another with dinner

VAT and Service

Please indicate when you register for the Conference if you would like to attend this event.  It may fill up, so please do not leave it late to book your place.  No refunds are possible for cancelled tickets.  Don’t forget to tell us in the booking system if you have any dietary requirements.

TYAC BRIGHTLIGHT Conference 2017 Terms and Conditions

  • By registering for the TYAC BRIGHTLIGHT Conference 2017, all delegates consent to being contacted by TYAC with information about the conference only.
  • To register at the reduced member attendance fee you will need to be a paid up member of TYAC at the time of the TYAC Conference. If your membership expires before the Conference you will need to either renew your membership or pay the difference between the non-member and member attendance fees prior to the Conference taking place.
  • We will confirm your place at the Conference once TYAC receives either full payment or an official purchase order to confirm that your employer is willing to pay your registration fee.
  • Once your place is confirmed, we will send you a confirmation email to let you know that you have a place at the Conference. Please provide TYAC with the most active email address.
  • Please pay TYAC before the Conference takes place. If we do not receive payment in advance, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
  • If you need to cancel, you or your employer will be charged if you do not inform TYAC of the cancellation at least fourteen working days before the Conference. However, your registration fee will be transferrable to another delegate - please let us know if you want to do this.  We will refund your fee only if you inform us of the cancellation at least fourteen working days before the Conference.
  • If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know on your registration form, otherwise we cannot guarantee to meet your requirements.
  • We will email you information about the meeting approximately two weeks before the Conference. These will include travel details and directions to the venue.
  • The presentations will, with the author’s permission, be uploaded to the members’ area of the TYAC website following the Conference. Presentations will not be distributed at the Conference.  We will supply a limited amount of paper in your delegate pack.  Please bring any additional writing materials you think you may need.
