Applications for The Brain Tumour Charity 2017 Lab Experience are now open for 16-17 year olds interested in a career in cancer research.

The Brain Tumour Charity has worked with Dr David Michod to run lab experiences for those interested in pursuing a research career for the past couple of years. It's a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with science, learn basic lab techniques and understand more about the realities of cancer research.

The week-long work experience placement at UCL Institute of Child Health, London, will begin on the 21st of August. Participants will work alongside Dr David Michod and his team who focus on research into brain tumours.

The course would suit students currently completing year 12 of full time education, and ideally doing a biology and/or chemistry at A level.
