TYAC is a supporting organisation of the Quality Standard 55 ‘Children and young people with cancer’ recognising the benefit of the quality standard in improving care for patients, carers, service users and members of the public.

This quality standard covers the provision of all aspects of cancer services for children and young people with cancer. Because cancers in children and young people are rare and often complex, services need to be able to consider each case of cancer individually, taking into consideration the clinical and wider needs of each child and young person, and their families and carers.
