About our Education Day
TYAC Education Days bring together like minded professionals of all disciplines who work with teenagers and young adults with cancer to engage in stimulating discussion and learning around the many aspects and challenges facing this age group.
We invite both TYAC members and non-members to attend our education days.
Programme outline
The education day will be featuring:
- Ethical and legal issues arising around end of life care
- Consent
- Stimulating case discussions
- Research abstract presentations
Who can attend?
Professionals of any discipline working in the arena of teenagers and young adults with cancer.
We welcome attendance from non-TYAC members.
Cost
TYAC members: £30.00
Non-members: £45.00
Refreshments and buffet lunch included.
Call for Presentations
We are inviting individuals or groups working in the field of teenagers and young adults with cancer to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation for our Spring Education Day.

Abstracts are welcoming covering all aspects of TYA cancer care.

Submissions can be material that has previously been presented elsewhere.

Each individual may submit more than one abstract.
Annual Lisa Thaxter Trust Prize
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Annual Lisa Thaxter Trust Prize of £150, which will be awarded to the best oral presentation given at this and subsequent TYAC Spring Education Days. The presentation receiving the award will be published on the TYAC website.
